Individual Therapy

In my therapy sessions, we’ll work to solve current problems and change unhelpful thinking and behavior. I will help you “re-frame” your thinking and provide you with valuable tools to cope with life’s obstacles. Below are a little bit about the modalities I work with. 

Art therapy

Art therapy involves the use of creative techniques such as drawing, painting, collage, coloring, or sculpting to help people express themselves artistically and examine the psychological and emotional undertones in their art. 

Therapist and  clients work to  interpret the nonverbal messages, symbols, and metaphors often found in these art forms, which should lead to a better understanding of their feelings and behavior so they can move on to resolve deeper problems.


Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), is a research-supported, integrative psychotherapy approach designed to treat symptoms of  trauma and posttraumatic stress

. EMDR sessions follow a specific sequence of phases, and practitioners use bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, to help the client process unresolved memories from adverse experiences. EMDR can be used to address any number of concerns, and it is compatible with other types of therapy.

Yoga Therapy 

Yoga therapy is a type of therapy that uses yoga postures, breathing exercises, meditation, and guided imagery to improve mental and physical health. The holistic focus of yoga therapy encourages the integration of mind, body, and spirit. Yoga poses, breathing exercises and meditation are typically woven in the therapy session or assigned as homework. 


Emotional Freedom Technique  ( EFT) is a  treatment method that offers healing from physical and emotional pain. Without the use of needles, this form of acupuncture uses the fingertips to stimulate energy points on the body. EFT is a very effective way of clearing out feelings, and when an unwanted feeling is gone, the limiting beliefs that the client held are released. New, more positive beliefs about themselves can emerge. Learning EFT also empowers the client  to take charge of handling their emotional state because they can tap on a feeling any time they want to move out a painful feeling.

Group Therapy

Joining a group of strangers may sound intimidating at first, but group therapy provides benefits that individual therapy may not. In fact, that group members are almost always surprised by how rewarding the group experience can be. Art groups are especially effective at helping people with self expression if they have a difficult time verbally expressing themselves. You don't have to be an artist to benefit from art group therapy.
